Study and realization of a renal phantom to evaluate the polycystic kidney disease by using Magnetic Resonance

From the introduction:

" The aim of the research is to study the polycystic renal kidney disease by using diffusion sequences. Actually, to treat this pathology, healthcare organitations use the ecography. It doesn't allow for the evaluation the progress of the disease, the cystic volume's growing and the total cyst number growing. There are drugs which are able to reduce the progress of the disease, but the ecographyc test doesn't allow for an immediate application of these drugs, so they become ineffective. Because of this, we have decided to use the diffusion sequences in the study of polycystic kidney disease.... "

To simulate the disease and respiratory system we have to use a geometric model which can describe, with full particulars, the tracheobronchial structure as far as alveolus. ... "
